Honda said the move was due to global changes in the car industry and the need to launch electric vehicles, and it had nothing to do with Brexit.

Honda UK doesn't make a diesel Civic. They need to consolidate their manufacturing and if they can make cars in Japan and sell them into the EU tariff free there's no point in making them in the UK in a plant running at 50% capacity.
Brexit - are we sure they are telling the truth, or just being diplomatic so they don't screw their latest tariff free deal with the EU
