I switched computers recenly, from pc to mac, and have only just got round to reconnecting my Epson r2880 printer with Fotospeed pigment ink refillable cartridges. I had to start from zero again - reload Lightroom, calibrate screen, install drivers, install icc profiles, refill tanks etc. Amazingly everything seems to work fine. I have printed on Fotospeed matt paper and on their smooth cotton 300 paper (the first time I tried matt black inks in the Epson) and the prints are lovely. A very good match to what I see on the screen and amazingly fine detail.

The guys at Fotospeed have been very helpful, sending me a new profile for the SC300 papers within hours when I couldn't find one.

While I am very pleased with myself, I am not only posting this to show off. Do things by the book and it is posisble to home print without the hassle and at a decent cost. I've no problem with sending away for prints but when my mom comes this weekend and asks for a print of a picture of my kids I am pretty confident I can run one off for her there and then (famous last words...)

I also used Fotospeed ink on my R2400 before it eventually gave up the ghost. I now use the refillable fotospeed cartriges with my Epson R3000 and it works superbly well.

Image quality every bit as good as Epson inks at a fraction of the price :)
