Home made autofocus calibration!

So I’ve made this calibration system.. hopefully it works haha, so im just wondering...

I’ve got the sigma 150-600 on a 550d at 600mm how far should I be away from it? I find it all quite confusing?

According to the guide notes of Reikan Focal a 600mm lens they advise minimum to 12M for making the measurements.

Sigma recommends 2.5mtr 6mtrs 16mtrs from memory, if using the sigma dock it tells you in the software.

If in body adjustments then normally used distance but at least 15mtrs.
