I will setting up a small studio part time in a room within the house...when I am finished building it that is...

I have been me-andering around ebay and some of the mags...there seems to be new cool lights that can run continuously and not produce much heat...

I use a Panasonic FZ30...which...when a flash or trigger is plugged in forces to F4...its the design...but I thought that a continuous lighting option would be good for portraits...etc...with reflectors and diffusers for the lights...

I also do not want to spend a fortune as this is a hobby...am an electrician...so cn rig up cabling and control wiring etc...I also saw some over the top...diffused flourescent lighting...

I had a go at model photography at a club...but the effects left a lot to be desired...with only one descent photo...

HELP...!!!

Any info is good info...and all comments are welcome and will be taken under consideration...

Thanks

Continuous lighting for people photography is always a poor choice, for the reasons set out in this article.
With a compact camera, the limitations are even greater because you can't use a high ISO setting without creating horrendous image noise.

My advice is to go with flash.

Thanks for the info...

Looks like a good guide...I'll investigate the rest of the site as well...
