Is it me or is it bloody hard to just do a simple holiday search!

Our little man is now over a year old and we all need a break away. I'm thinking early sept somewhere warm as this will escape the school holiday season. Can anyone recommend somewhere with a flight time of 3 hours or less? I was looking at Lanzarote etc, we just need a lazy holiday to be honest! Could anyone give an idea for a new parent on the dos and donts, it seems that some places and flight companies charge for tickets while some don't as an infant can sit on your lap on the flight etc!

June and September are both nice. I really liked a villa with private pool when you have a little one. When they have their afternoon snooze you can still chillax and have plenty of drink, food, shade etc.

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is nice and a lot more quiet. Car hire is super cheap and those seat altea can swallow all you stuff.

Under two we've been able to travel on our lap. However every child is different. Only you know whether yours will be happy on your lap the whole journey. Don't count on a nice rest for yourselves whilst travelling as they need a lot of entertainment in my experience during such a flight.

Besides that, Crete and Cyprus can also be nice destinations. As is Menorca/Mallorca.

I would definitely got direct with a Villa with private pool.

Crete is well over the 3 hour limit, as is Cyprus.

People will recommend the traditional holiday destination. Why not try something non typical like Alicante? People only tend to know they airport as it's the one flown to for onward transport to the hell-hole that is Chavidorm. But Alicante is a lovely city, with lovely beaches if that's your thing. Plenty of cheap flights from regional airports too.
