holiday- skiathos??

We are looking at going on holiday in may next year and fancy Skiathos in the greek islands, has anyone been? any reviews good or bad?? we're looking at the troulos part of the island and just wondered what it is like????.

most of the reviews are saying good things about it!

btw...... we have a 3 1/2 year old so would it be any good for him??

We stayed in the Koukanaries area a few years back - had a great time. Friendly, safe and quiet enough for a youngster - mine were about 2 1/2 and 7. Safe beach, good albeit plain food but I would avoid late July and August as it may be a little hot for your lad. I remember the Troulos name but not the area - I think we went through it rather than explored it. We may go back if we can afford a holiday this year which says it all though I would rather find a new place just as there are so many to explore !
