Hi i wouldnt say im new to my DSLR camera having owned it for over a year but i still manage to have plenty of days when i couldnt manage to shoot a fish in a barrel. So i thought id join a forum to pick some peoples brains that have a bit more knowledge than me, so i can get some pointers and feed back. This way i can find out if its my technique/camera settings or camera kit.
Im based in the Bradford/Leeds area am using a Nikon D3100 with a kit 18-55mm lens, which is my 1st proper camera. Any way enough of my waffle i will post up some of my pictures (if this is the correct place) to see if i get some feedback

Cheers

Sean

Welcome!

I'm from the same neck of the woods. I started as a complete novice a couple of years ago and through reading, shooting lots and this forum have (hopefully) improved! It's very friendly and helpful here!

Where's that water pic from. My mate penny took a very similar one but can't remember where it was!

cheers for the welcome Shaheed i am finding the more pictures you take the more chance you have of picking out a few real gems.
The water picture is from behind the hacienda apartments in Manchester, this was taken while i was on a Manchester Music Tour run in conjunction with the Manchester photography school

True! With digital, you get instant feedback so you can see what works and what doesn't. Take lots of pictures (not machine gunning the camera) and you'll be able to see improvement.
