Hello. My names Alexandra, Alex for short. I'm 23 and live in North Wales. I have always been interested in photography but would really like to start learning the basics and a bit more and getting the most out of my camera. I have a Nikon D3100 and have had it a couple of months. I have played around taking pictures of the stars after watching "Star gazing live". No success though. I'm hoping you guys can help me get better results.

Thank you everyone. I must admit I am a bit shy about showing my photos but I am definitely looking for some help in making them better :)
 
Welcome to the forums Alex.
Lovely thing about these forums ive found is not one person ive found on here is rude or insulting. All comments are made in the 'try this to make it stand out a bit' or 'A slight tweak here or a crop there will help the pic', which is always helpful and all part of the learning experience.

What part of North Wales are you in, me and a few others from the forums spent a week in Porthmadog and traveled all around the area. Some gorgeous scenery views there.

Thank you :) That is really kind. I'm feeling very welcome here already. I live in Kinmel Bay so still in the Conwy County.
