Hikers in central Scotland

[Fuuudge]

I am looking to go for a small hike to break in my new boots when I get them. I've been up the Dumyat before a few times and fancied going from there, along/through the Ochils to Ben Cleuch. Would I be able to reach Ben Cluch from the Dumyat car park area or will I be better setting off from Alva or taking a walk further round Sheriffmuir?

I would stay away from the Ochils until the weather improves anyway. Apparently there's been quite a few avalanches lately.
