High Pass Sharpening using NX2

When using high pass sharpening in NX2 does anyone go into the ALL box click on Luminance_Chrominance and then reduce the Opacity(Chrominance Channel) to 0 before changing the Blending Mode to Overlay.
I think I saw this mentioned in a You Tube video but cant find it now.
I would like to know you work flow for this method of sharpening please.

That's what it says to do in the 'Real World' and 'After the Shoot' books.
