Yes
I normally use dscl and for the money I find them very good but when I print an image from my printer(ip4700) it is much better in every respect. So can anyone suggest any printing companys that may be classed as high end or where the pros use. I don't mind paying extra for quality

Loxley comes to mind.

you'll not likely to see any difference

A blind man could see the difference as to what my printer is putting out .

So are their no companys that can print to a quality of my £99.99 printer?

I think the question of what an outside company considers a reasonable print and what you consider a print that acceptable. I can foresee disputes over this and payment issues as well.

Maybe the answer is to do your own printing albeit costing more and getting exactly the results your after. I do my own printing so I have no one else to blame for the quality. In actual fact its quite satisfying doing the whole thing from taking the photo to editing to printing.

I'll second that. DSCL are good value for money but let me down quite badly not so long ago. They are by no means bad but when things get difficult...well I guess that's when the real pros separate themselves.

Loxley have always provided excellent quality, quick delivery and top notch customer service and I don't mind paying more for this. I'm also lucky that they are based in the Glasgow area so I can also go in person and collect.

thats not what I ment - if you see a difference bewteen your printer and DSCL I doubt paying more for the same type of print is going to make any difference.

My R2400 gives better prints than loxely can

A well set up inkjet/giclee printer will do, but not everyone has access to that.

Thanks all for replys, my printer is only a4 so that's where I'm restricted, don't get me wrong dscl have been great in everyway for the money, I just thought surely there must be a company out there that can match a home printer.
I'll give loxley a go next time and see if there's any difference

Colour and the biggest problem, sharpness, from my printer pin sharp but ordering online very soft

colour is a profile difference - are the DSCL prints less saturated?

Loxelys won't be as sharp either since they use the same printers

Yes they would be slightly, but then sometimes I could order the same image say 3 times in a month for print and 2 prints will be not too bad but still soft and the 3rd print looks about 1stop darker.
Not good for me when I have a customer waiting for the dark print that I then have to reorder
