I've been lurking for a while. Congratulations on a friendly and informative forum. There seems to be a pleasing lack of trolls, which is a compliment to either/both the forum members or photographers as a whole.
Anyway, I'll try to contribute now and then, and will be posting the odd question myself shortly.
A bit about myself - an enthusiastc amateur. Travel photograpy is probably my area, though of course it covers most types of photography. I think what what floats my boat is capturing the essence of a place/people, whether street photography or landscapes.
Camera history - Pentax MX (now you can guess my vintage), Nikon F80, Nikon D90.......and thinking about the next upgrade.
