Just a few lines to introduce myself. My name is Mike and I have recently returned to photography after five years tied up in a midlife career change. On returning to photography; I took the heart wrenching decision to sell my darkroom and film kit to fund new digital kit. Part of me still misses splishing and splashing around in the dark, and if Im honest I was a better printer than photographer.
I live on the moors above Oldham and Im a recently qualified ODP working in Salford. My other interests are walking, music, reading and Liverpool football club. I have looked round several forums over the last few weeks and decided to take the plunge here. I use a Nikon D70 with 18-70 kit lens + a Sigma 70-300. I am looking forward to joining in the banter and fun on here; and eventually posting some of my work.

I know what you mean about missing the darkroom, but once you really get into digital there's no going back. I miss all that messing about like a hole in the head. 
I did it all the other way round... started off with digi (D70 
), and now I've just started an A level film based course 
TBH, I find all the developing, processing etc a right PITA!
