Hi everyone,
Andy here. I have been "lurking" for the past couple of weeks, and have found this site packed full of information. I have just made the big switch from 35mm to DSLR, after realising that processing and printing was getting too expensive to practice with.
I still have a few 35mm cameras - Nikkormat ftn, Canon EOS 30V, Minolta Dynax 500 (??).
So, the other week I went out and bought myself a Sony Alpha 700 with 28 - 70 standard zoom, and the Tamron 70 - 300 macro zoom (this seems to be a really great lens).
I am just getting used to it, and although I started off using JPEG/CRAW, I am now sticking to X Fine JPEG, as I do not know what I am doing in RAW, and the image quality with this seems unbelievable.
Ah well, I had better stop hogging the page, and carry on browsing the forum.
Bye for now,
Andy
