Hi - Newbie question on remote flash firing

Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction with this please - I apologise for the newbie question

I'd like to fire a remote flash. I have the remote flash on a stand and it will indeed fire when the camera flash goes off - which is perfect - except I don't want the cameras built in popup flash to go off!

So my question is what can I use instead of the cameras popup flash, to trigger the remote flash?

camera is EOS 600D by the way.

Others will offer something but I have had both the RF602 and now RF603. Both manual mode.
What sort of flash is it, because I can trigger mine from onboard and just dial down to -3 so it will add a little to the image.

Set your flash,s to manual one goes on the camera, the other onto the flash and away you go

There are more expensive examples that allow you to fire your flash's and use TTL if you want to go down that road

Or PT04, even cheaper

RF603 would be a better choice though
