Hi All, found this site by recommendation of my good friend and two doors down neighbour RobertP.

Been taking pics since 1978 (Practika) via 1982 (Minolta X500 - which is still a great camera to this day). Dabbled with digital in the shape of a Kodak 4600 for the last few years whilst still using my SLR until my mate Robert cost me a small fortune by introducing me to the Canon Eos 20D which I bought a couple of months back.

I'm looking for a modest flashgun for it so any recs welcome and perhaps an upgrade to the kit 18-55 that I bought it with.

Nice to be here, once I find my feet maybe I'll even post some pics :thumb:

I am sorry I missed your introduction yesterday and it is only now I am welcoming you to our little corner of the internet.

You are very welcome here and I am sure that you will soon find out that it is the quality of advice and help that you will find here that makes us a little different to some of the busier sites :)

Before you go rushing out to buy a flashgun or replacement for the kit lens to compliment you 20D, we would need some more information to be able to advice correctly.

Why not start a thread in the Camera, lenses and accessories section, explaining your dilemma and I am sure you will soon have mountains of info to read through ;)
