Hi,
I have been playing around with photography on and off for a few years. My main camera is a Canon Eos 300D, which I got second hand a few years ago. It hasn't ever been serviced and now has Error 99 showing when it refuses to take a picture.After a little interent research, I have found out that it is a shutter issue. Can anyone recommend a repairer? I am not keen on the idea of choosing out of the phone book and hoping to get my beloved back better than ever. I live near Oxford but am happy to send it off if necessary.....

Thanks for the lovely welcome and the advice. I have just sent off my beloved camera to Elstree. I am a bit sad to see it go......but am excited to think that it will be fixed when I get it back and just in time to take beautiful photos of all the new life in the world!
