Hi another newbie here

just want to try and get a little more from my camera i dont have a top of the range just a basic i mainly choose it for the macro it has as i take pics of my metal detecting finds so i needed something with a decent macro

the camera is a lumix tz18 here are a few pics i took when i got the camera the other day never read the instructions before these were taken and they were took freehand

not brilliant but i dont think i did to bad for only having the camera about half and hour

i will be looking for advice on how to get the best from the camera then maybe i might get something a lot better

let me know what you think and tell me where im going wrong please

Some good shots there. I'm not into macro but there is a macro section. Post some pics there and I'm sure you will get some good advice.
