I'm originally from Blackpool and fell in love with photography when I moved to Wales back in 2004, inspired by the animals and beautiful landscape around me. Finally plucked up the courage to start up my own business in 2015 photographing pets and livestock. I'm a forum novice so I'll probably do a lot of reading to start but I'm really looking forward to participating in some interesting and inspiring conversations :)

Hello Andrea:welcome::)!

Welcome, which bit of South Wales? I love Pembrokeshire, gower, and often take a drive to porthcawl for a days walk along the beach.
Welcome to tp

Hi guys and sorry for the slow reply - I've been mooching around but not actually got back to this thread until now - derr! :oops: :$

@ sbowler579 - thanks for all the handy hints and links - really useful!
@ Byker28i - Hi. I'm in Ceredigion - not far from Cardigan Bay but also close to the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire borders so perfectly placed for exploring all 3 counties. Totally agree with you about Pembs and the Gower and am embarrassed to say that I have never been to Porthcawl but will definitely make a point of going now ;)

p.s. I haven't worked out how to include your original comments in my reply so hope the above makes sense :thinking:

We did Ceredigion last year, spent time travelling around based in a boathouse on the banks of the river at st dogmaels. Beautiful area and I have as cultural piece on my wall from an artist there.

Love the area, would like to retire there one day, so really looking forward to you sharing some images.

Well I guess I'm biased but I couldn't agree more - moved here 12 years ago and can't ever imagine living anywhere else now (bit of a change for a Blackpool lass but there you go). I'll have to go find a pic to upload now....

As I said - loved the place. The view from where we stayed
