As above, Hi from Shropshire. . . . . .
Am Matt... 27... Telford,Shropshire. Just getting into photographry, I have dabbled before with little success so am starting out now again with baby steps and taking my time to learn propperly rather than jumping in at the deep end ! So i have just ordered from Wex photographic a bridge camera:
Fuji Finepix S4200.
Its very basic but i hope it will allow me to get started and a foot in the door.
My HX on camera`s is i always just had point and shoot compactas and dispoasbles etc with no real interest, then I joined St.John Ambulance and started to get out to alot of different events and enjoyed it and kept coming into contact with photographers at events and noticing how much close i was to the action than them so curiousity got me going on this and i bought my first bridge camera that was a 5mp Fuji finepix that i just used on auto mode affraid and confused by mannual intervention. I got comfortable with this setup and enjoyed it and wanted to move up........ here was my mistake i went to a second hand DSLR Cannon that i was lost with and struggled to get my head around ! So i sold it up and left it at that. 5 years on the mrs compact has pegged it so it needed to be replaced and this is what ive chosen to do it with..... low budget and simple but should allow me to start understanding and learning using the priority modes and then its manual mode and maybe one day i may spend the money again on a DSL. But for now i beleive the bridge was the right move for me !
My 2 hobbies lend themselves to this.......
* St.John Ambulance
* Shooting / field sports
Got my camera ordered now and batteries so just got to get myself a memory card..... Am thinking :
Sandisc 8 or 16 GB 30mbps class 10 SDHC from 7day shop as they seem to be the cheapest and give good customer service ! If it all arrives in time i hope to give it its first outing this weekend at RAF Cosford Airshow
