Hi there,
As you might deduct from my username I'm originally from Sweden but have been living in and around Reading since January 2000.
I used to be quite into my photography (mainly Minolta SLRs) back home but left everything behind when I moved over here.
I've been using mainly digital Compacts for the last couple of years, and *shock* *horror* the occasional disposable camera.
One of my biggest interests is cookery and I do have my own blog, Freestyle Cookery. I post recipes, reviews and the occasional rants there.
Most of my posts are accompanied by photos of my trials and tribulations. I've been using a Nikon compact for the last half year or so. However, I've recently been made contributing editor for a larger American blog collective so I thought I'd step up my ambitions a bit.
This weekend I'm picking up my Canon 400D with some extras.
Having recently been to Havana, Berlin and Auschwitz I realised how much I've missed photography so I expect to get good usage out of my 400D, and not just with food related images.
I used to do quite a bit of nature photography and I've always been into my sports so I like taking a bit of action photos as well.
I'd like to get into nude photography, but I guess people would just tell me to get my clothes back on again.
Well, this is a long rambling post but at least I've introduced myself a bit.
If there are any other 'food photographers' out there I'd be more than grateful for some tips and pointers on how to move forward and improving my skills.
