Hi everyone,

My names Alex and I'm 25 & from Northumberland (also im female, which I only point out because people on the web usually presume im male! lol)

I'm just getting back into photography again, I bought my canon 400D 3 years ago but haven't really done much with it for the last 18 months.

I'm not sure yet what I really love taking pictures of, I'll pretty much do a bit of everything. Mostly I end up taking shots of dogs, because I have many! and landscapes because I live in a fab area for them. I'm quite interested in the strobist thing, so no doubt I'll be looking for some C&C on some shots soon.

Hopefully I'll be able to bring my work on some by picking all your brains!

I've put a couple of shots from when I was using the camera more into the general photo sharing forum if anyone wants to see the sort of stuff I do. :D

Lucky you living up in Northumberland, land of superb scenery. I spent a week with three mad women in a cottage in Howick this year. Walking the clifftops watching the sea rolling in was one of the best times I've had in years.
Only wish I'd known of the red Squirrels at Howick castle dooohh.

Looking forward to some of your shots :D

It's a blizzard here right now, but great photo opportunities may be tomorrow!

Thanks for all the welcome messages. I'm from a bit south of Alnwick, town called Morpeth.

ahh yes the red squirrels, i've seen tonnes of them recently but never had my camera with me :bonk:

I also just started posting, although I signed on a few years back. I am in Colorado, and just bought my first Vivitar 285 flash to pursue strobist work. I'd be happy to engage in a little mutual brain picking, going forward.

always look forward to US landscape posts ..spent 20 years West Coast - never got your way..!

Welcome to TP Alex.

We have some cracking scenery up here, can't wait for the warmer weather to come and get out, the Northumbrian coastline has some great areas to shoot, especially the castles ;)
