Hi all, I'm Rob, new to the forum and very new to photography. Something I've always wanted to get into but never really got around to it.
At the moment I only have a compact camera but I am hoping to get some decent kit very soon. I am looking into the Canon 450D body with a Canon 70-300mm IS lens, any advice on this choice appreciated...is there anything else I need or should know?
I want to get the camera soon and get some practice in next year as I get married next Sept and I am going on Safari in the Masai Mara for my honeymoon so want to be able to get the most from my photo's.
Also thinking about taking a basic digital photography course as I don't know much about photography, do you think this is worth it or is it easy enough to self teach?
