Hi,

Just joined! Looking forward to joining in, too. I'm always impressed by people's knowledge and the generous way they share it on forums!

Love gear (too much), love photography, can't seem to take any decent pictures myself.

Never mind, I'll just have to work on my 'seeing', 'shot discipline' and post-processing.

Oh - and does anyone know if this dark, grey, wet thing overhead ever gets lighter, bluer or drier!?

All the best,

Nick

 Welcome aboard Nick - It's good to have you here.
We're a friendly bunch so please pull up a chair, put your feet up and make yourself at home.
No shortage of help, advice and inspiration to be had.

Oh - and does anyone know if this dark, grey, wet thing overhead ever gets lighter, bluer or drier!?

 I've heard it rumoured that there might even be a big, yellow shiny thing up there somewhere - I don't believe a word of it myself, but I'll let you make your own mind up!

Thank you all for the warm greetings - but you're having me on about the big yellow shiny thing! Now, where's me other pair of long johns...

welcome to the forum Nick-enjoy your time here

Thanks! Actually, I mustn't whinge - apparently, there was lots of bright sun here yesterday but I carefully dodged it inside and only went out in a squall!

Hi Nick

Hi all! Cor, the Zoo... haven't been there for decades! BBC Weather agrees with you, it isn't going to rain on Sunday - just won't climb over 9° C! The yaks and penguins will be sunbathing, then...
