Hi Chris, And welcome aboard TP. "Enjoy".

Errrrrrr Wheres about in 'pule is youz?

I'm in Southport with the posh toffs: at least that's how Boo'l Council see us!

Just back from doing a sunset shoot at the Iron Men. Did you see it? Sun got right to the horizon without the usual band of cloud. Not often that happens. Got a nice shot of a hot throbbing ball between a pair of legs!

Was in Tobacco Wharehouse last Sunday morning. Don't ask how I got in!

Don't bother with a camera club. You'll learn far more on here. Just ask and remember there's no such thing as a silly question.

Hi Mickledore

Kirkby and Aintree? Know them well from my days in gainful employment. Quite an experience!

Here's a couple of shots in another thread taken inside the Tobacco Warehouse. They are starting to rip the place apart and convert it into accomodation so if you want to get inside it's best to do it soon before they place gets too busy.

There is a camera club in Kirkby. Don't know where they meet but I assume it's in a church hall somewhere. Format will be that you sit in the dark for an hour listening to some old **** then you have a cup of tea (which you have to pay for) then you sit down for another hour. Nearly all clubs are like that. Then at 10PM there is a stampede to be first out of the door.

From what I think I know the Kirkby club is pretty obsessed with competitions. You might not get much in the way of guidance; more likely you'll just be told that your shots are not good enough.

Ask on here or invite yourself along when you see guys going somewhere you fancy. You can come to the Mustard Gas Factory tomorrow if you want. Have a look in the meeting place section for details. (I don't know how to copy links on my mobile; sorry!)
