Hey everyone, been registered for a while but to be honest I've just been so busy going through a load of the sections and threads!
I'm Pete, obviously, I live in Boston in Lincolnshire, and I'm a total beginner to photography, but since showing an interest in taking it up as a hobby I have been recommended this forum for friendly guidance and tips. I have a Canon EOS 400D with the usual kit lens, a primed 50mm F1.8 Mk2, and a Tamron 28-200mm.
I'm sure you'll all be hearing from me on the various sections with my mind-numbingly tedious questions, but if you don't ask or research something then you'll never know!
So that's me, hi!

Hi there Alan, ahh Spalding, I'd like to say I know it well but I only ever used to drive to the big bus station you have there to meet up with my friends from college when I was a lad. Yes, I was one of those people that sat in their car in Spalding bus station, but I must quickly point out there was never any stereos blasting or tyres screeching in my day!
