Hi all! Just a quick hello, and to introduce myself.

Just starting out in Photography, and awaiting my new camera, and lenses for Xmas. My wife has very kindly bought me the Nikon 3300 with kit lens, and the Nikkor 55-200 vr 2. I used to do a bit of shooting with my father in the 80's on a very basic Practika slr when we were doing mainly Motorsport shots. I didn't have much interest then, as I was mainly distracted from the racing!
Now I guess, I just want to take shots of everything! Really looking fwd to getting my first dslr, and having a decent crack at Photography, and having some fun.
 
Hi Terry, welcome from another Essex resident. I'm in Hornchurch.
Enjoy your new camera, and just make sure you use it, often.
That way, you'll get to know it, and the better you know your equipment, the more you can forget about it and concentrate on having fun taking pictures.

Best tip I can give you Terry , is get out and shoot some images.Read all you can on Techniques oh and have a look at fellow photographers styles Images etc

Yep that is the plan Les. Initially I was just going to get a dslr just for family shots, as the camera phone just isn't enough. I then started looking at other peoples work and was amazed by some of the shots. I really do like macro Photography, but macro lenses are a pretty penny!

Thank you Terry- I do love macro myself I have a Sigma 105mm cost of around £350 a good investment as the 105mm 105mm f2.8 lens is also ideal for Portraits too
