Hi guys i am new here and in a desperate search for help i have read so many reviews i have confuesd the hell out of my self.

For the last couple of years i have been using an old point and shoot nikon 5200 and now want to move up a bit.

I really like photography and want to get a camera that will last me for a while and one that will do most things.


Original i was going to go for a bridge i think partly because i was scared of full slr, but i saw this one and something said yes get it.
So i am now the proud owner of a Olympus E410 Got it for £249 with 17.5-45mm lens.

Now my questions will start lol
If anyone owns one of these do you have any tips tricks etc also i am very new to the dslr world so i need to learn lots, iso, apature etc is still a bit of a mystery at the mo.

So any help at all would be great probably starting from the very basics

Yes i like to get on a few sites.

Getting the hang of manual functions slowly, just been taking hundreds of test pics and testing out different settings. Also been using auto mode then seeing what setting the cam used and using those settings manually but fine tuning them.

I will try and post a few pics although most prob are not that great.
