I have been posting on some forums for a while now, but until now have missed this one. From my recent lurking, I have seen some familiar names here from other forums, so I suppose I am not a total stranger.
I have been into photography for about 6 years now, digital having really sparked my interest. Two and a half years ago I decided to take the plunge into the DSLR world and bought a Nikon D50. Six months ago I upgraded to a D90, which I love. The D50 is now my wife Jo's camera.
I enjoy nature photography with an emphasis on macro, so expect a lot of bug shots from me.
I also like stuff with engines and wheels.
Being an engineer, the technical side of photography interests me as well.
Right, now I can get on with the reason I joined here, posting photos and arguing about which camera is best. (The answer to that is Nikon in case you didn't know)
