Hi!

I am almost a complete newbie to photography. Never used anything more than a point and shoot on auto until I picked up a Canon 350D kit dirt cheap while over in the States this past xmas.

Originally it was going to be attached onto the end of a telescope but that plan has had to be put on hold for a (hopefully) short while, so now I am concentrating on learning a bit more about regular photography. Next point of order is to get a sturdy tripod of some sort as I have shakey hands which has always put me off in the past.

I'm looking forward to learning a whole bunch of stuff here!

Also, I've just setup a Flickr account here. Bit empty atm, need to clear some disk space and get used to processing RAWs

It crossed my mind but I'm not sure I'm ready to start collecting lenses yet ^^ Perhaps for xmas when I know more in general (it's not too early to start writing lists is it?) Tripod will also be useful with low light and night photos.
