I'm a member of another forum into Hi Fi, we have meets the same as we do here, only we tend to stay indoors as theres not much you can do with an amp and pair of speakers at a local nature reserve.

Anyway, I'm having a gathering at my house, middle of June, if anyones interested, theres 3 or 4 places left. If you have to travel a bit, you can always stay the night. Peeps usually bring along a couple of bits of kit, but if you just want to come along with some music thats fine !

If theres enough interest, I'll give some more details !

sounds like an interesting idea (a hi fi meet) whilst i do like the idea i wont be attending im just interested by the whole idea of it, do you sit around listening to different seperates and discussing the output? sounds quite intriguing as ive noticed that places like richer sounds dont always have the facilities for you to try before you buy anymore
 
which forum is it? Sounds like something i can commercially exploit offer some helpful professional advice on.

Its mostly people bringing they're own gear yes. Amps and cd players can sound pretty much the same, but speakers and vinyl front ends vary immensly and its good to get a few lads together with different kit to try out stuff you wouldn't normally be able to.

But mostly its just a p*ss up. :lol:
 
sounds very interesting borats baby but sadly im not local enough.

id like to know the difference between my celestions and some really top end gear but that would cost me lots of money...!
