Hi. Just a quick intro while I am at work. I'm probably the most amateur of amateur photographers. I'm actually without a camera at the moment as my old one broke and I've been sadly relying on my phone for way too long. I'm going to put that right ASAP but not sure what to get at the moment. I'm not into DSLR as I am not one carrying around that kind of equipment.

I live in London and have been to plenty of the Olympics only to go through the sad state of photos on my phone and realising I should have replaced my camera earlier.

Why not take part in our annual TP Day coming up soon 9th September, Where you take a photo on that day and post it on the forum, then all the Photos are made into a slideshow, Click the logo for more details, it's lots of fun to be a part of it:thumbs:

If I have a camera by then I'll take part. It'll only be a cheap compact though - no DSLR here or compact system cameras I'm afraid. I'd never bother carrying it around with me.

Not sure I'll have one by the 9th though as I'm not going to rush a decision and it would appear from the lack of replies in my recommendations request thread that talking about compact digital cameras around here is a bit of a swear word ;)

After a while I realised this was the general response this would get around here. This place is obviously for more professional photographers than me. I feel out of my depth ;) Cheerio folks. I'll leave you alone so I don't lower the tone any longer :D

Hi doesnt matter what your camera or phone is just take a pic and post it and most of all have fun :thumbs:
