Can anyone assist in sourcing a suitable compact camera for capturing dance action in low light please? Subjects range from approx 5 metres - 30 metres (max). My budget is £500 / $700.
I suspect I need the following specifications:
Fast lens
Largish sensor
Quick focus system
Good burst rate
Manual control (preferred)
I've singled out the Fujifilm X20 for instance, among others in the Enthusiast compact range, but I seem unable to find reviews with a sample gallery including action/burst frames (esp in poor light).
