I was given the link to this site by a friend of mine and I must say it seems like my kinda place so far. I was into photography back in the old 35mm film SLR days but hadn't bothered much for a very long time until a few years ago when I got back into it again and with all this new digital photography it's now so much better than before! I'm far more into photography now than I ever was before. I've always worked in IT so the computer side of digital photography I've picked up with no problems, which I think has given me a bit of an advantage. I can still remember all I learnt about composition, exposure, apertures and shutter speeds from my old 35mm SLR days so all I've really needed to do is find out how it all works with the new digital gear.
For the past couple of years I've been learning on Fuji bridge cameras, first the Fuji S5500 and then the Fuji S9600. I've recently got to the stage where I realise I need to move on to D-SLR to get the quality I'm looking for and a recent windfall is enabling me to do just that. I've just ordered myself a pretty full Nikon D80 kit and I can't wait to get started with it! When it all finally gets here.
Anyway, that's enough about me. Here's some photo's that I managed to get with the Fuji cameras.
