Hey all,
Referred this way by "Phate Brutus Mk1", had myself a Canon 400D kit delivered today - my first foray into decent photography, having owned a couple of digital P&S cameras in the past - and surviving only with my K800i's camera for the last 18 months!!!
Not entirely sure what I'll choose to shoot mainly - but I'll try my hand at a few things and see what I enjoy!
I'm a car enthusiast, so most images may well be car related to start with, be it shows, motorsport or just tarty snaps of my own cars!
But I promise I'll try buildings/landscapes/macro/portraits - purely so I can say "I've done it" 
My photography knowledge is minimal, but I've been reading up for the last few days elsewhere, starting to understand some of the basics, hopefully I'll get the hang of it all soon, and start producing some shots that make me (and hopefully others) go "wow!", like some other people's work has made me do recently!!
A little about me - well I live in Essex, and flitter between the Colchester area and the bit within the M25 Main hobbies are computers & cars - I drive a Honda Prelude, and am about to start modifying a Ford Anglia 105E. I'm now hoping I can add "photography" to my list of hobbies - well, actually, I'd better given how much I've just spent on the camera!
If you've read this far - then you're in for a treat, I'm going to shut up now!!
I hope to make TP another "2nd home" (along with the other select few forums that are my "2nd home")
