Hi Guys
Im a member of the Overclockers.co.uk and occasionally lurk in the Photography forums there. I saw someone recommending this place as a good source of Info with friendly people so i thought id register (he was very right from what i have read so far).
My background (or lack of) with photography.
Well i got my first ever camera in only April 2004 (Kodak6490) and had some fun with it. Unfortunately, i didnt get the time to really make the most of it and learn the craft, but i did enjoy the limited time i did spend out and about.
I have more time recently, and as a result of this, replaced my 6490 with a Used CanonEOS 300D from Fleabay
A friend warned me about the virus spreading between people who buy such Bodies....and it seems to have affected me also. As of about 20 minutes ago (and strongly assisted by a thread on these forums) i bought a Sigma 70-300mm DG from one stop digital. Doh
Main reason for that was that i have owned the camera for a week, and have been out on two long days out with it, and each time found myself entirely frustrated by the lack of range with the Kit Lens. Guess its true that through using the camera you truly begin to understand what it is you need to make the best of Photography and the situations you find yourself in.
Macro functionality was a bonus for this lens too
Anyway, nice digs guys. Hope you dont mind if i put my feet up?
