I have lurked round here for a long while now and thought I should really say hello 
I been taking pictures for a few years but never really that seriously. I started with an old beaten up Pentax MX (loved that camera) then got into underwater photography using a Motormarine 11 (with twin s&s strobes) for a few years before losing interest and taking up other hobbies.
I now have the bug again and got myself a 400D with which I haveyet to get a decent picture out of....
Been really enjoying reading the forums here.
