Hi everyone, I haven't participated in forums in forever decipite these being my favourite aspect of the internet. It might be overwhelming for me to return to the social aspect of the network so go easy on me.

Name's Noah, I'm based in Nottingham, UK. I'm actually a postgrad doing a long course in something absolutely irrelevant to both photography and social life, and I'm filling all my study time fiddling with my cameras in order to distract myself from the fact that I need to study and have a social life.

I am therefore a hobbyist with plans to go to the next level.

I have a humble gallery with a few of my shots on 500px and flickr, and also a blog in which I decided to share my experience, and every once in a while, my creations. The blog is rather new so I'm hoping to hear a few opinions on it, in case I'm doing something wrong, of if there is something you really want me to blog about.

If there's anyone in Nottingham, I'm willing to go out in this nice summer for a photographic day, but I will not make any promises as I actually have to work and study as well, but please let me hear from you.

Hi Noah and welcome to the forums, I see your a Pentax user, so was I until recently, have moved to Nikon.:eek:

Enjoy it while it lasts. I've been planning a barbecue since forever next Sunday, but the forecast has been so unreliable. Today was supposed to be all cloudy!

Let's hope sunday will be better. I won't take pictures though. Camera must remain hidden as I'll have 10 people around. It will be a nice mess. :D
 
Plenty of architecture in and around Nottingham. Take a wander around with your camera and look up.

I went to Leicester a few weeks ago and was mightily impressed with their buildings. Top notch design and creativity.

For landscapes, Derbyshire is probably your best bet if you're staying 'local'
