well ive been out of the loop for several months now and finally found my way back here.
interest in photography took a dip but the sun is shining and hopefully can start getting out and about with the camera and maybe try and pick up a new lens.
having made a move into shooting portrait work and being on a limited budget decided its about time i got myself a nifty fifty again. had one previously but as i was shooting predominantly landscapes and cityscapes and had the sigma 10-20 the fifty just gather dust in the bag.
Then i sold my entire canon setup ( a 500D, 10-20, 70-200 , tripod, bag , flash and all the rest of it) and switched to a Fuji Xe1.
this was a great camera and i loved the fuji. But after covering a few events found it was lacking in certain aspects of being able to catch that spur of the moment image being a much slower paced camera to work with.
So the fuji sold and now i have the canon 60D, a canon 18-135 STM ( which ive been using to shoot portraits ) and a sigma 70-300.
throw in the usual array of filters, tripod, pair of speedlites, wireless triggers etc etc all im missing now really ( apart from the 10-20 ) is the nifty fifty.
Money wise cant afford the 10-20 so will have to wait until im back in the workplace again after quitting my Job last May its been a struggle ( and one of the reasons the photography took a back seat as just lost the mojo or inclination for it)
Hopefully things will pick up and at some point will get a few of my images up for critique too.
Its good to be back behind the lens again
