Heres a pic and i need a bit of help

hey guys i have this photo as below. i want to use it but quite small as in 6cm x 5.5cm. thing is once i shrink it small and print out it doesnt look very good anymore. can anyone help this is quite important so help would be brilliant.(this is my first go at photoshop so i added a border made it b&w and also removed a broken panel on the door so be gentle )

i took the picture from the web and resized it to 6cm wide and let photoshop handle the height

it looked ok.

i think that you are trying to set both height and width , just try and let the software decide the other

yea it looked ok on mine when i sized it down it looked ok but when i printed it it looked so of not very clear if u know what i mean. could it b that the printer isnt good enough or else i have only used plain paper would using photopaper help?

-lose the massive black border
-up the contrast
-resize as needed
-sharpen
-then add a fine (single pixel) border

i will try the other things but the border is needed for the thing im doing. will get some photo paper and give it a go. im trying to make save the date cards for the fiance she is in full blown wedding mode at the min lol

When you resize it to 6cm, what resolution are you using?
