Ive never taken photos of Fireworks displays, this Saturday is Australia Day and as with all states there'll be Fireworks going off all over the place, in my home state of Perth the Fireworks will be over our Swan River, over 300,000 people expected on the foreshore but i'll be quite some distance away but should still get some resonable shots i hope. I have a Pentax K100D at the moment but i have on order a K10D and due any day, what tips can you's give me, lenses, settings etc for taking photos of Fireworks would be much appreciated ? I have a 24, 50, 80-320mm lenses. Help please. tazza

Hello Tazza-oz. :)

There have been many threads about taking pics of Fireworks, here is one I, amongst others, contributed to. Found using the search box btw. ;) There should be enough info in there to help, but there are other threads here, and on the internet about taking pics of Fireworks. And of course don't be afraid to ask more questions. ;)

As for which lens to use, you'll have to choose when you get there depending on how far you are away. It looks like you have quite a big range covered though. It'd be nice to get some colour reflected in the water if possible. :)
