Hi Everyone.
I'm after a BIG favour. I don't any photoshop stuff on my computer since I moved from PC to mac (only aperture and some other RAW conversion software). I have provided a link to a file of a female, and would appreciate if someone could add the skin smoothing technique I've seen frequently.
I'm not sure what favour I could do in return, but as they say, if you don't ask you wont get, so I'm asking.

Thanks in advance. Full file is here

hope the link works

what effect are you after?

Thats a good question. It's something I've never done yet myself. Just the effect which makes the skin look smooth and youthful. (some can dream). I think it's the median filter. But not too sure.
Once again thanks for any help.

I am pressuming you mean something along th elines of this, though I am sure there are far better exponents of the art than me ;)

Take a look at Portrait Professional Pro at
www.portraitprofessional.com
A time limited demo is available for download, you can probably do the same job with ps but I found it very easy & quicker to use the above program.
Regards Kevin
ps the MAX version works with RAW files

oops, sorry for repeat, should have read all the other replies, that'll teach me for not having a snooze earlier, been awake since 3 o'clock this morning.
Sorry (off for sleep now)

Here's my attempt. Hope its not too extreme. :)

Thank you everyone for you efforts and help doing this. The results are really amazing, the girl in the picture is very shocked that she can look so good (and youthful).

Dave - I have seen that software before, but it only seems to be available for PC, as I'm on mac, I can't use it. A shame as it looks really easy to use, and not too expensive.

Jobe attempt using the Totally Rad Retouch Pro action is also very good, and she really likes that, partly because he has the same name as her brother sadly killed in an accident a while back.

Once again, thank you all for your help.

Good to see you had such positive responses to your request.

I really enjoy this sort of thing,
however, I did find all the stray hairs across the face made the task more difficult ... especially in the forehead area.

I had a go too, mine is quite a heavily processed version to try and deal with the forehead area.
Enjoyed playing as much as looking at everyone else's work.
