help with rugby and boxing

Hi everyone hope all is well. Just wanted some advice on i live in west London and have been looking for some rugby matches and boxing bouts to photograph. But it is a lot harder then i thought, i have contacted some clubs but no reply does any live in the same area and know where i can look or does anyone know any good websites.

Any advice or help would be most helpful just feel im stuck a little and not sure where to go next.

Do what everybody else does - keep trying.

Sorting access out is one of the most important non photographic skills that you can have.

Rather than emailing, why not go along in person and speak to real people, and you'll have a much better success rate I think.

you seem to be doing the right thing... just keep at it until someone replies..

what are you asking them.. maybe its the content of your request that puts them off...

obviously good advice.. but you have to be that sort of person.. i couldnt.. maybe the OP can but its not somehting everyone can do.. if you feel you can then follow this and go to them.. look on the website when training night is..

I have said i would like to build up my portfolio and in return i would be happy to let them use some shots for their website. i know you have to keep trying guess i will get that lucky break soon. Thanks for the advice all.

I started to email different local sports one night, 15 in total, 3 replied the rest never. Out of the 3 replies i have now got my first rugby game tomorrow and motocross next week with the potential for a regular slot..
