Help with processing an eye please.

What I would do is:

-Make a selection of the left hand portion of the right eye (as looking at the screen)
-Paste as a new layer and position over the left eye
-Use the Transform tool to Flip the selection horizontally
-Use the Transform tool to stretch / adjust to fit the offending blood shot area
-Use the Eraser tool to tidy up any overlaps
-Change the layer's opacity to say 70% to allow some of the underlying blood shot to appear through, so that it appears more natural.

Hope that helps - I am sure there must be other and probably better ways.

regards

You could copy the other eye or portions of it and paste to the bad eye. Easy to do if you have photoshop but you didn't say what software you have...

i'd cheat:

add a h/s/l mask layer, and just mask the red bits and desaturate (easy because the eye is white).

I would also try just removing the red, duplicate layer, use brush in colour mode at about 10% to paint over the red lines etc.(use a colour picked from the whites of the eye). Flatten image and duplicate layer again, hue saturation adjustment to get the colour you want, use a layer mask to apply it to the areas you want.

Blend it back in at a pretty high opacity with the original but make it look natural.

You might need to do a little cloning to make it look better along the way.

Depends how long you want to spend I suppose, but that would be my 5 minute quick and dirty approach.
