Help with processing a sunset

Went for a quick wander around Cardiff Bay today and snapped this. (Wish I had my tripod and cable release with me but had to make do hand held).

Any suggestions on how to process this image?, I haven't really entered into post processing before and this was a quick go in photoshop (bottom image).

# I have the raw file if anyone wants to have a play.

I just adjusted the sky to pick up on the hue at the bottom of the pic.

Here's my effort.
Added a high pass filter sharpening, a bit of dodging on the buildings to bring up the detail, put sky on seperate layer and enhanced colour followed by gaussian blur, colour adjustment to sand.
