Hello

I have just bought my HiTi P510Si and not sure if I have it on the right settings, Its on quick print and from the sd card i choose a pic, it does a 45sec count down and then I still wait about 4 minutes for the print. I thought soon as you press print it starts straight away and gives you an end result in less than a minute

Is this right?

So when did you contact them Neil?
 
i may be the resolution yuor camera is set to . the printer may be reducing to the resolution the printer wants.

i would check if your shooting raw . or the printer may be set to the highest quality and this may effect the printing speed.

I am shooting at S 2256x1504 this is the lowest on my camera. Its an 8gb sd card inside.
 
Buster, I would give the guys at System Insight a call perhaps?
 
It says in the manual 300x300dpi should take 12 seconds. thats a very low res to me.
 
I have a 510s but i have not tried to print from SD, i will try it later and let you know. I know that printing from LightRoom3 it can be a bit slow sometimes.

Hi Mac how long per print does it normally take you? and what programme do you print from.

I do a lot of printing from lightroom and photoshop, there is normally a delay, maybe up to 10-15 seconds but then the print is out in another 20 secs.

Sometimes you click print and it looks like nothing is happening. Then a minute later it bursts into life.

System Insite will probably get you to try from picasa so i would try that now as that is quite a fast program.

I have the p510s and normally print from Picasa with almost no delay. From a CF card plugged in to the printer I can print both 700kb and 3.5MB jpgs within 40 sec using quick print. The 40 sec counter comes up and by 25 sec it starts printing and finishes on 0. Are you using the quick print option?

You should try calling system insight, they are normally pretty good about getting back to you.
 
Is the replacement an Si model or the standard S version?
