Hi everyone,
Just wondering if I could get some advice shooting high speed with my Hahnel Captur Pro.
I just purchased it recently after being disappointed with a Miops Mobile dongle (the lag was unworkable and would often not fire the camera despite the target level being met, sometimes by a great deal). I’m impressed by it in terms of no lag and had much less non-triggers, however I’m really struggling to get a picture of a popping balloon.
I’m working in a dark room, in bulb, f/16, ISO 100, 2 yongnuo flashes at 1/128, the trigger set to sound mode, to fire the lights with no delay and to fire once, but I still always miss the “popping”. The closest I got was a tiny piece still in the top corner of the image, but mostly just a black background with a hand a pin.
I’ve tried a “fuller” more taut balloon and a more empty one. Is there a reason you don’t see more air filled pop images? Is it just too fast and I need to try with water or am I missing something else?
