help with extracting audio from video in premier pro

hi everyone

i have tried to google this question and came across a few answers/suggestions but nothing is working for me.

i want to extract some audio of a video in premier pro, can anyone help me?

Get the audio you want on the time line, then make sure the time line is selected (yellow box around the time line) Then go File>Export>Media choose MP3 and export. Should be fairly simple.
