help with cs3 for mac

i recently posted a thread about cs2. my friend has just bought cs3 and the raw is not working for his 7d on his mac has this
 
version of the software also not got the ability to process the canon raw files?
 
if you check on the adobe site you can find out if CS3 actually supports Canon 7D RAW files.. off the top of my head I would say it doesn't.

So you may need to download Adobe free DNG converter and convert the raws to DNG and then open them in CS3
 
the DNG does that allow something similar to what raw does
 
should have explained better. as im sure you know with raw it allows you to edit beofre you open it in photoshop. does DNG do that ?
