Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a authorized Canon repairer in the london area?

theres only one choice IMHO.. canon elstree... i am a couple of hundred miles away and i would use them over anyone else

Have to agree, Elstree seem to be the best value around and do a great job. I had a quick turn around time from them as well.

I've got a lens with H Lehmann Ltd of Stoke on Trent, this is one of three canon approved centres and the one the canon gave me details of when I contacted them I'll post how they get on as should get a report in the next couple of days :)

Stoke is a long way off london :) and I think if you search TP lehmans dont ahve a great reputation...also when lehmans get stuck they send the lens to canon elstree (absoloute 100% fact)

Yep agree 100% I sent mine to them recently:)
my zoom lock ring was worn out, lens was dusty from safari and got them to check lens calibration as well
they did a great job really happy :clap:

Well here's the list as per the canon website...maybe I made a mistake when talking to canon on the phone as I think I asked for the closest to me when maybe I should have just sent it to them

If leahmans send it to canon so be it, I did a quick forum search before sending but if there turns out to be an issue I'll face that if it arrises

If they have to send it to canon that's what they have to do, I drive a land rover, but when I need it fixing I don't take it to land rover, I take it to the mechanics in the village but if it's an issue they cannot fix I expect the to go to a specialist and or speak to JLR :)

Mind you, the difference is that you can post a lens to Canon whereas the post office get annoyed if you bring in a wrapped up land rover! ;)
